DAUNIAN DOUBLE-SITULA

Two ovoid jars conjoined with a single arched handle.

Nicely decorated in blue-gray and bright orange slips upon a buff-colored clay surface with various patterns;
egg and dart, wave, meander, leaf band, ivy leaf and tendrils.
One jar broken at lip and repaired. Minor chips.

3rd Century BC

W. 11 3/4 in. (29.8 cm.); H. 8 1/4 in. (21 cm.)
